Learn to shoot the mythical English Long Bow using techniques passed down through the centuries! Students will be trained to use exact replicas of bows salvaged from the wreck of the Mary Rose in 1545, the archaeological find that became the primary source of most knowledge regarding European archers in the Middle Ages. This class combines hands-on instruction with in-depth lecture on the lives of Yeoman archers, their role in warfare, and the efforts to revive their art. No prior archery experience or equipment necessary.

REQUIRED GEAR : This class is open to the public, however, previous archery experience is highly recommended, but not required.
